LOOSE ASSEMBLAGE
Co- Creation, Co-Lighting/Set Design

Loose Assemblage delves into the intricacies of family structures and alienation, weaving together theatre and dance to meet the absurd and the unexpected. The piece is tethered in the desire for connection. This desire and search become more and more absurd as characters attempt to shed themselves, become other animals, and find the elusive state of “normalcy.” Loose Assemblage opens the door to dream worlds, blurring the lines of reality, allowing linear time to break.
Person:
The desire is one I cannot name. A deep hole blocks the connection from my eyes to my brain. The tension in my muscles is loosening and the tendons are starting to unwind. They’re straightening out and being laid on the floor. Stacked, piled high to avoid taking up too much space on the ground or blocking the walkways. The piles that litter this endless room we find ourselves in. I wish you would’ve picked up today. The wind is taking me and I’m going with it. I found a portal, a pathway into a room with a pedestal, and under the light a folded piece of paper that contained directions, opening itself to me. The panels in the window are empty.
